What is Ujian Akhir Sesi Akademik (UASA) 2022/2023 and How it Affect Your Child

What is Ujian akhir sesi akademik (UASA) ?

UASA is the final test of the academic session and is a school-level test and is carried out as part of the summative PBD at the end of the academic calendar. It is to test the cognitive level of students, not to compare performance or achievements between students, schools, districts and states. UASA aims to collect and obtain information about the level of academic achievement of students or the content learned by students throughout the academic session. It can also give a comprehensive picture of the student’s progress, abilities and achievements. This information can help teachers plan and implement interventions to develop students’ potential.

For more information on UASA, kindly refer to Garis Panduan Pentadbiran Ujian Akhir Sesi Akademik.

How UASA Affects Your Child ?

Placement of Standard 6 students from SJKC and SJKT to SMK is based on achievement in Bahasa Melayu (BM) in Ujian Akhir Sesi Akademic (UASA):

  • Students who achieve TP3 – TP6 in BM of UASA test will be placed to Form 1
  • Students who achieve TP1 and TP2 in BM of UASA test will be placed in Remove Class. However, TP2 students can appeal to sit for Ujian Pengesanan Literasi Bahasa Melayu (UPLBM) and students who failed UPLBM must attend Remove Class.
