Steam Salted Orange: Home Remedy for Cough & Phlegm

If you have cough, stay away from eating fresh orange. But, you might want to try a Steamed Salted Orange. It is an easy home remedy if you have an annoying cough that just won’t go away.

  • 1 Orange
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

7 Easy Steps to Make Steam Orange:

  1.  Clean & soak in salt water for 15 minutes.
  2. Cut off the orange top like a cover & put the orange in a bowl.
  3. Sprinkle about 1 teaspoon of salt on the exposed orange.
  4. Use a chopstick to poke multiples holes in the orange & cover the top part of the orange back.
  5. Once the water in the steam boiled, put the bowl in & steam for 15-20 minutes
  6. Steam it for 15 minutes after the water boils.
  7. Serve Warm – Drink the water in the bowl. Peel the skin of the orange & eat the orange flesh.
