Steam Chinese Chicken

Steamed Chicken is an aromatic and easy to prepare dish. The chicken is steam and then drizzled with hot oil & light soy sauce. It is super easy to make and healthy. Steamed chicken is so easy to prepare and steaming is the healthier cooking method.

Ingredients:

  • Chicken, chop into small pieces
  • 1 stalk scallions, chop thinly,
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger

Seasoning:

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon light soya sauce

Steps:

  1. Clean the chicken & rub salt evenly on all sides of the chicken.
  2. In a wok/ saucepan, fill water to 2/3 level & let it boil.
  3. Put the plate inside and steam on high heat for about 15 – 20minutes.
  4. If a chopstick can easily poke thru the chicken, then it is ready to be serve.
  5. While waiting for chicken, saute minced garlic and ginger in hot oil until golden brown in color.
  6. When the chicken is done, drizzle the aromatic sauce evenly over the steam chicken.
  7. Garnish with balance chopped scallion & served hot with light soya sauce.
