What is “Dreamworld” Play Centre?
Dreamworld Indoor Play Centre (“DWP”) was incorporated to bring indoor play to toddlers and children up to the age of 12 in a fun, healthy and safe environment. It is an adult-accompanied space where children can learn through play, exploration, seeing and thinking. The combination of education and entertainment has a profound effect in the development of a child’s motor, social and interaction skills.
Where is “Dreamworld” Play Centre?
After lunch, we went to Dreamworld play centre which is located at S-202, Level 2, Starling Mall. (There is another Dreamworld Play Centre in IOI City Mall, Putrajaya.
What is the Play Rates?
In November 2017, we went to Dreamworld playl centre in Starling Mall with my kid’s friend after they finished kindergarten. The play rates to this indoor play centre is RM25 (for below 2years old) & RM48 (2years old & above). Each ticket entitle to get free 1 round Animal Ride which are outside the entrance of Dreamworld play centre. Only 1 parents entrance is free for each paid child. All kids and parents need to wear socks before entering the indoor playground.
What I Like About This Play Centre ?
This is a winter theme or snow-themed playland and decorated penguin, polar bear, snow man. They use mostly white and blue inside the play centre. The temperature is not freezing cold but normal air-conditioned temperature. Our beloved kids can release their energy on multi-storey play structures, tubes, slides, bridges.
The soft-contained structure and play equipment are wrapped in soft foam to absorb the impact when children fall or bounce around. My 5years old girl explore this playground with her friends while I accompanied my young toddler girl. Note that only the play area is carpeted. Kids and adults have to be careful because the food and waiting area is not carpeted.
This playland is not large and there is no staff on duty inside the playland to ensure that everyone stays safe. The staff only stationed at the ticketing counter and entrance. You still have to keep an eye on your own kids. And this is not a place to drop your kids to play while you shop. The accompanying adult must be in attendance and maintain visual contact with the kids at all times. While I was there playing with my kids, I noticed a small kid nearby was stuck on the net rope and crying for help but nobody come to help.
All kids and parents need to wear socks before entering the indoor playground. They provide dedicated spaces for you to keep your shoes. And they provide hand sanitiser at the entrance. Overall, I’m satisfied with the playland spaces and equipment is clean and in working order, so I and my kids can play without having to worry. It is easy for an indoor playground to get messy such as food gets spilled and dust gets tracked. Food and beverages are to be kept outside the playland area.
A Wide Variety of Activities
This playland have a wide range for all different sorts of kids and age group such as:
- Slides and ladder
- Wide slide
- Parent’s lounge or play area with table & chairs (which is used for parties)
Wide slides for few kids to slide down together like sliding down a hill.
This area is great for my young toddler to play.
Parents can wait, relax and chit chat at this wide area. And kids can have a rest, take some titbits and drinks here. There are some lego toys for the kids to play.
Food and drinks price are reasonable.
Here in Dreamworld Play Centre, parents can play together with kids. We like that this indoor playground provides a clean and safe environment for kids to play, learn and have fun. We definitely love this awesome indoor playground because there is so many fun activities for them. And my young toddler have good time too because the facilities not only appeals to older kids. And the mall’s toilet is just next door. Kids can run, jump and climb around freely. In conclusion, it is definitely a family bonding activity with little ones.
